Formed in 1953 in Scarborough, we are a long-standing and experienced cycling club who can offer advice to everyone interested in cycling socially or competitively. We offer Come and Try It time trial events for people in the local community and have delivered competitive cycling events every year since the club was formed.
You will find a friendly welcome and a common sense approach to cycling safely, especially during the Covid pandemic. We do have some social weekly rides depending on members’ availability. We hope life can return to something more like reality in 2021 but in the meantime, we strive to deliver safe alternatives for our members.
We have a small reliable group of dedicated volunteers who make events happen to a high standard. We have been involved with the Tour de Yorkshire each time it has visited Scarborough, supporting charity rides and other media work. The club have also helped promote and organise events at the annual Scarborough Cycling Festival at Olivers Mount. The club membership is open to all abilities.
